    best fuel economy yet

After fitting the new intercooler BlackBetty has just returned me the best fuel economy yet.
I filled it to the brim before heading up to Perth, just filled it to the brim again ready for a fishing trip tommorow.
    590km 50lts diesel
At least 350km was with cruise control on,plus it was 40deg weather with the Engel on freeze.Could possible be improved upon without cruise and in cool weather.

Cruise was set at 105ks,rest was city driving, short shifting rather than letting it rev out on gear changes.
This tank will be a different story beach+Chip+big intercooler=

Didn't get a true figure when I followed Derek out in June 2010 but I reckon I would have got that or better.

We were doing 80-90kph as it was a dirt road.

I dont know how bad the fuel economy gets using the power pedal to its full extent, but I do know this TD5 is producing V8 performance without the fuel bill to go with it.

The TD5 is execptionally good on economy if you are doing/have time to travel at them speeds.

I was getting good enough to do 2 return trips (very nervously on the 2nd return) to Nowra from western Syd on a tank. D2 auto with 4.6. After replacing the MAF, ensuring I could come up Mt Ousley in high range, it's gotten worse since replacing as it's now running richer though. Seems to be around 16 per 100 now.

That sounds very good for a V8,the 4.6 should have been standard here like in the US.
