Where the standard disco has a bin either side of the cargo area, the 7 seater ES has no bins i they have a panel which the rear seats bolt too to fold up.
On the passenger side in the cargo area behind the panel is where the secondary aircon system sits.

While this is all secondary to me now, out of curiosity what year LR has the air from the top of the roof or is that the ES also? (I looked into a secondary aircon system - too much$'s IMO) ...

With rear ac the load space is a little smaller and the rear seats are closer together! I small inconveniance I suppose for rear ac which works a treat.

Here's some pics of a 7-seater fitted with rear aircon, with seats folded and unfolded -

Thanks Paul and Northiam for your replies (as everyone else)...

I like the concept of air from the roof for the 3rd row occupants but not the compromise on boot space.

I had considered moving to an ES model, but suffice to say after all the work I have had to Lp... and more work I will have done in the future am happy to stick with my trusty converted 5 > 7 seater & the installed fan :-D

(As clean as the 4 kids are, I think the white seats would do my head in lol)...

    Cheers,
    Lp
