    D2 bracket under-?

Under my D2 , on the left hand side about midway along, attached to the chassis is what I can only call a battery box, it is original and not added on, I can't for the life of me work out why it is there. Any ideas? seems odd. Cheers, Bob.

I have this also and have thought of either cutting off for sill tanks or making a box to fit compressor there.

That would be the box that does / did hold your compressor for the rear SLS air-bags.

You can open it with a large flat-blade screwdriver, and see whats in there. If it empty, then you can use it for whatever you like.

The shelf is for an sls compressor. Your car either is a base model and didnt come with sls, in which case you will have a tray; OR

it did come with sls, but someone has removed the system, including the compressor, and there will be either a tray, or a box.

Thanks, fellas, makes sense now, it's just a tray, now to work out what to do with it, cheers, Bob.

So does anyone have an answer for the wiring harness with the plug that hangs out directly opposite on the RH side???

Sits directly under the drivers seat....

Well despite the single cap reservoir, no hydraulic ram, no pump, I guess it's conclusive that I don't have ACE then.....??
