Well there you go - I had completely forgotten that. So we have ruled out both those options!

Heres a pic of a p38 front You can see the shock mounts clearly. along with the fact the diff has moved and the arms are bent!

Oops, I hadn't even considered that the shock may be inside the coil, I assumed it was similar to the rears. Obviously I haven't looked in behind the front wheel when I was paying attention.

Went wheeling with a mate in his Patrol with airbags, seemed to work really well and then let the bags down back at camp to get at the fridge easier. Wasn't really after something custom for the D2 though.

Oh well, plenty of other things I would like to do the D2 anyway.

    Cheers,
    Nova

I spoke to the air bag man, and they have done a defender with all 4 airbags... He was very helpful and it seems to be easily done I think he quoted around the $1400 mark

Someone makes good backup front shock mounts for a D2. Considering them. They run behind the coil. I have seen airbags with centre hole for the shock though. Just make sure whatever they fit it's firestone. They make a good bag, plenty of large gauge main round wires and smaller wound wire reinforcement.
