Rather than let it sit there & rust away, get the details & put it into the markets section.
There are plenty of people here that would happily pay $2500 for it.
BTW - Just how much D3 or D4 do you think you will get for less than $20k?
Wow, you sure are confused!
Could you be a young kid, just kicking tyres and wasting people's time? Maybe, maybe not....
But an L plater with wild ideas, and too much time on his hands for sure.
Do you even read anyone else's replies?
Here's a word of advice - concentrate on your studies, then after schoolies, go buy a Hilux with a Rumpig sticker on it.
Not much research, but plenty of confusion
Go buy a Series 3, far better suited
Why? Cause that's what all the 4wd's in the magazines have?
Yeah Right
We noticed
Whatever.........

D3/4s are only "better" cause they're newer. In a few years time they'll have all the same issues as any other used car.
To get one of the oldest D3's, you're going to have to pay more money now and have a car that you're less likely to be able to work on yourself, higher insurance premiums (important for a young lad), and depending on how long you own it & how well you treat it (or the previous owners treated it) you'll have to do all the same things as the D2.
How many times do we have to tell you:
1. The D2 is a bargain
2. The hassle with the D2 is worth it for peace of mind, future reliability & experience.
Take advantage of this while you're young, loaded & not married/no kids. It gets harder after that, trust me![]()
after much thought and pondering, i have decided that no matter what vehicle i get there will always be issues. so, i have purchased the D2 and am taking it to Beechboro 4x4 to get the major repairs done. i will to the smaller stuff my self.
has anyone had any experience with beechboro 4x4's hydrogen system? they have given me a good price to get it fitted. is it worth it?
Good choice
I'm not sure of the pro's and con's of that hydrogen setup but TBH I reckon you'd be better off getting the D2 running well in a stock setup before adding any additional layers of complication.
cheers
Paul
i know that you car is only as good as the repairer.
so, would you trust you D2 with beechboro 4x4?
please PM me with any bad experiences.
There is a basic rule on here Technophile, being it didn't happen without photo's.
So how about putting up a couple of happy snaps of the D2?
I'm sure most everyone would like to see it.
cheers,
Terry
