No dramas, as it turned out they didn't replace them anyway. Glad you sorted it out.

    Cheers, Jayden

Any tricks to getting these back on? Spent about an hour, to no avail. Just broke one drivers side plastic male clip.

A number I have seen recently have been glued on at the clip positions with the same sealant used to install the windscreen. Although this is technically not correct, who other than yourself will ever know? (other than the next poor bugger that has to replace the screen)

Looking at them you would never know, but the trim can not be removed without breaking them completely.

Well as a matter of fact, i am getting a new windscreen put in tomorrow apparently with new 'side bits'... Once i pick up the vehicle i'll ask for the old ones back. I'll make contact then....

Just watch them while they work. I've had a 2 year saga of leaks, missing/broken/non genuine(generic bits) used to replace parts as they did it as well as the lower panel not being removed, just filled with sika and the glass pushed down into it and then dropped into place.

Eventually fised to my satisfaction. Also make sure they don't cut the sealant from inside as they will cut the roof lining (or take pics and have it recovered after). Mine is getting done as we speak because of this.

The trick, I found, was perseverance, strong fingers and a sense of humour. I, too, spent an hour to get on the first side and about 10 minutes the second. Be careful not to push all the way on until you're sure you've got all 3 clips engaged as you risk breaking off the clip lugs which are engaged trying to take it off again.

I got one in this morning. The other I got in, but had forgotten the curved gutter bit above...

It helps to have the holes lined up too, as the clips won't go in if they are too high or low.
