    My oil leak - fixed

As Ean suggested, mine was leaking from the centrifugal filter. The inboard cover bolt had been replaced by a long one but the whole thing was stripped and the previous owner had just left it. I was going to helicoil but $50 for the kit put me off, so I tapped it out to 7 mm, ground and threaded an 8 mm bolt down to 7mm and: no more oil leaks. It is a great feeling to look underneath and not see any leaks. Take the turbo heat shield off for a much better view of things. It is just 3 x 6 mm bolts (as I discovered after chiselling off the rivets!).

    Thank you all,

Sometimes you read and you read but totally miss the point.

Ean gave me all I needed. Everyone else pointed me to it. And I just got it.

    Cheers all.
