    Heater/AC Blend Motors

I am not sure whether my blend motors etc are working correctly, since I replaced my Heater Matrix.

Is there anyone on the form who has there Driver Side Trim removed so that they can photograph and post the mechanism positions

On Full AC - aimed at Foot
On Full AC - aimed at Head
On Full Heat - aimed at Foot
On Full Heat - aimed at Head

I need to make sure that "all parts are there" and that they are all working correctly, both Rave and my Haymes manual don't show me what I need.

    Thanks in Advance.

    I used the inbuilt Diagnostics.

Simultaneously Press the AC Auto button and the Air Distribution button, while turning the ignition key on.

It runs through a Diagnostic check which includes Servo Motors etc.

    No fault found.

I replaced the Heater Matrix, and I noticed that on the old one, there is a foam sealing around the matrix, so just replaced this, and now I no longer get extra hot air blowing out around the heater matrix, so I am assuming this was the problem, will give it a few 1000 km and see if the solution holds.

How difficult was it to replace the foam around the heater matrix. Did you have to remove the dash? I get a bit of warm air coming out of the vents when the climate control is switched off and the self diagnostics shows no faults.
    Thanks

If you take the trim off underneath the steering wheel and the air deflector it is quite easy to push weather stripping foam between the matrix and the surround using fingers and a pointy instrument. It is fiddly but possible.

21 - Sunlight Sensor, left ouput
    22- Sunlight Sensor, right output

Fault - Open or Short Circuit

This means that your AC Auto - will not correct for Solar Heating i.e. amount of sunlight.

The Sunlight Sensor is the Black "knob" in the centre of the top of your dash, close to the windscreen.
