Aren't they attached with a strong double sided tape?
Pretty sure most automotive places, or Clark Rubber outlets sell it.
Not expensive, and VERY strong.
Try using a hair drier or heat-gun for straightening out any warped plastic?
Cheers,
Just had a protector strip come off, what sort of glue should I use to reattach it?
Also does anyone know what solvent I should use to get rid of the old glue?
Oh, one more thing, a couple of my strips have warped (whilst the previous owner had it), any clues on how to straighten them up (I'll rip them off to do it once I know what glue and solvent to use).

The one that's come off was definitely glued on

Hi Wardy
Look up Sicaflex and email them describing your requirements I have found the technical advice they supplied me in the past really good. I,m sure they would have a adhesive to suit .

Better to use the Double sided tape, made to suit...
Available from SupaCrap
Yep, after cleaning all the build up of gunk I've discovered the double sided tape. Thanks guys.
Have removed another one that looked as if it would come off soon. Will go get some tape on the w/e.
For those who need to know, TURPS cleans off the old glue pretty easily and there are strips of aluminium moulded into them so straightening them out was no drama at all![]()

There's a clear double sided 3M tape with a red backing strip. It's exactly what the panel beaters use. I went and got some for another use and it sticks like excretement to a picnic surface. Even inside the car when it gets really hot.
