D1 BullBar onto D2 Will it fit
Hey guys just wondering if anyone has tried fitting a D1 bullbar onto a D2?? It would have to go close I would think as the front end look similar (haven't looked real hard) until D2a.. There's plenty of second hand bars for the D1 but the D2 ones are very scarce.. If no one has tried it I may just buy one and have a hack with the mig, oxy and hammer if need be. That is once I have a look at both side by side and they look similar underneath..

No it won't fit. The front end of the d1 and d2 are entirely different. I asked all the same questions as I found it so much easier to source a d1 bar than a d2 bar but eventually got an almost new arb steel bar from a local guy who'd replaced it for a winch bar, for $600... Bargain!
If your interested, I have a brand new ECB 76mm alloy nudge bar for a d2 for sale as I ordered it before this other one came up. If you're interested, let me know.

Yes it can be done. I've seen two friends mount D1 ARB bars to their D2s. Obviously not a perfect fit but it is possible.

Yes, they do fit, thanks to a roo, the panel beater found out the hard way. He ordered a new winch bar for my 99 Discovery & fitted it. When I collected it, i though it looked different & it didnt fit that well, the back of the bar rubbed on the front of the grill. My previous bar was a non winch so I put it to that. A couple of weeks later it was looking under neath the new bar & saw the part no compliance sticker for a 96-99 series 1
Anyway, I let him know & it was changed over 3m later as they had to order it fresh from ARB & paint it after waiting for 3m for the 1st one!!
So, yes they fit but i wouldnt recommend it as the sticker does say its for a series 1 (insurance issues??) & looks a little wrong.
