    CDL sticking question

    Hi all
I have the Ashcroft cable type cdl kit installed in my td5. The problem im having is its sticking.. adjust it up and it comes on by itself while driving, but when i back it off a bit it only engages when it wants to not when i want it too.. so after a quick look im thinking either my cable is on to tight of an angle or the internals are a bit sticky.. I thought i would ask to see if anyone else had had this problem before i go looking too hard..

    Cheers..

Both series disco's have a problem with sticking CDL's.
Use it or lose it basically.

There was a post just recently on unsticking a D2 CDL,,

i just had an issue but not so much sticking as more the lever was not holding to the right unlocked and was moving over to middle and engaging the cdl. there was a small 10mm nut on the mechanism and from under the car i could tighten this and problem solved.
maybe have a fiddle with the cables under the car and see if that solves it.
