can a key fob be reprogrammed or am i screwed?
1997 se v8 disco 2 button key fob
today i was running some wires through the fire wall on passenger side foot well. when the indicators started flashing. for some stupid reason i disconnected the green box( i assume part of the imobiliser) to stop the light flashing(dumb)
now key fob wont open doors= no car starting.
ive looked on the rave cd and also searched numerous threats with no luck
can the key fob be reprogrammed? or is the another soluition to my problem
open to all suggestions
thank you in advance

If it's a D2 (1997 sounds more like a D1) try resetting the inertia/fuel cutoff switch on the passenger side bulkhead. The top of the intertia/cutoff switch is a rubber covered button which needs to be pushed in to reset.
When you are messing around in the engine bay on the passenger side it's easy enough to knock the inertia switch and trigger the fuel cutoff, resulting in flashing indicators and inability to start the engine. The inertia switch can also prevent door locking if the ignition is in position II.
It's worth a try anyway...
cheers
