Aircon fix?
Hy guys, Just got my first car which is a D2 TD5, It has a couple of things that need fixing. However in this post i was wondering what idears you had for what the problem might be, i am hopping it is something symple as I spent all my money at the monment buying the car.
The problem is that the air dose not cool, the fan system works, however it blow's warm air from the motor bay. It is the type that allow's me to cool the different sides of the cabben inderpendently.
Thanks in advance.
Jack

When I first got our D2 it took a while for me to work out to turn the aircond. on.
If the "econ" light on the heater control is on the aircond. is off.
If it's not on the aircond. is working
Check the plug is conected on the compresor too.
Cheers, Kyle.

aircon not working
i just bought a d2 td5 2004 manual.
i have the same problem.
the aircon was icy cold when test driving.
one hour later i got 500 metres from the dealer and i heard a loud psssssssttttt.
turned out the aircon blow off valve opened and released all the gas due to over heating aircon by the aircon thermo fan not working.it had seized with rust.
the gas was refilled and worked great for one day.
it now has gone again.
i got the fan working again today and now waiting to regas.
hopefully it wont blow again.
any ideas as to why it would blow the valve other than over heating.

Theres a pressure swicth that should prevent further compressor operation if the pressure gets to high. The pressure relief is only there if all hell fails. Take your ac servicing eleswhere...
