    Eurovox single CD 5880

    Hello peeps,

    Any of you guys have a single CD Eurovox unit with working steering wheel controls ??

    got one to retro-fit in a vehicle, just wondered if they ever had working controls from the factory, before I attempt to dig around to connect them up.....unfortunatley Rave seems to "ignore" this unit completely in the wiring diagrams...

    Eurovox radios were locally fitted. The only D2s that had remote radio controls had the radios fitted by the factory (top spec models).


    That's also why there's nothing in RAVE about the Eurovox radio. UK don't know we use them, they think we like cars without radios.

    What does it look like? I took a single cd player out when upgrade to an iPod compatible unit and the steering controls worked that one.

    I have the same unit in my TD5. I have opened the uint up, the PC board has all the drillings for the internal controls but non of the components have been installed. The old Cassett unit I removed to fit this system is completly different. I have been trying to obtain a circuit diagram of the PC board for the CD player so I can install the components in the radio so the remote controlls can work.

    I have the same unit and would love steering wheel controls if someone figures it out.
    If you go to the trouble of opening, it up an mp3 imput would be a very worthwhile mod at the same time.
