Still happy with my Cooper AT3 245/75 LT.
Mate that put me onto them said the dodgy reputation came from a bad batch a number of years ago, and they have since beefed the sidewalls to the point of being over-engineered.
He's done the CSR among other things and had 0 issues (running ST's)

    Just another perspective!

3 years ago I had cooper st's on my defender and did 45'000 kms around Oz with not one tyre related issue. I too think there bad rep is over done.

I'm happy with the bf Goodrich at's on my disco this time around in light truck 245/70/16. Going great I have a vertically challenged wife so I had to go down a few sizes from the 235/85 to keep her happy as the disco is now our only car. Goes way better in the hills with this size too

We have a system where, if we're taking the disco, I have to get in first and then extend my arm across to haul the Minister into the cab.
Hate to think what it's going to be like when I (eventually) get 33s!

Our pommy brothers solve this problem by putting a jesus handle on the A pillar, with suitable re-enforcing

Now if someone made a good LT 255/75R 16 for a D2 with 16 x 8 inch rims we could have our max 1 inch clearance (29 inch to 31 inch tyre) without a suspension lift?

I jumped in at the deep end with 265/75 16 Procomp AT's.
Haven't had it offroad yet, and clearance around the front bar looks like it will be tight with articulation, but I'll figure that bit out in the next couple of weeks. Sooner or later I'll be replacing the front bar and fitting some slightly taller springs, but it needed tyres now.

    Baz.
I have 265/75/16 with a two inch lift and they do not rub anywhere.

As for the tyre, Goodyear Duratrak. I love them.

    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

No rubbing on the radius arms for me either, even at standard height. Went and had a quick play yesterday , and surprisingly they don't seem to touch anywhere, but it is very tight around the front bar.
