Do you think it has better approach angle than the ARB bar. It still seem to hang down a fair way.

I wish I could get a body lift but it will never happen in Vic. Maybe I better move to QLD.
This is an old photo of mine when I had the ARB bar.

From what I can tell the XROX does not sit quiet as low as the ARB (even though it looks that way with the flat face of the XROX) and it definitely does not sit as far out as the ARB.

I am certain the approach angle is better with the XROX and it opens up the front tyres a lot more to give better clearance too.

Hey mate, those sliders look like a solid bit of kit.
I assume you've had a good crack at them now, is there anything you would change given that you had them custom fabbed?

Preeetty keen to sort myself out a set!

    Bolt size?

    Hi,

I have an X-Rox too. Only, when I got mine (2011) they didn't provide any of the main bolts - The 4 that bolt to the chassis:

I used the original bolts, but I think they are too narrow:

If you grab the bar (where the ariel lugs are), you can push-pull the bar around 50mm. They're as tight as I can get it.

I have a sneaking suspicion that the bolts may have not been original. Or, I got the first X-Rox build.

Do you know what the bolt size is?

    Cheers.

Les Richmond Automotive with their White Tiger +2" suspension spacer kit have had customers vehicles engineered with it fitted. The details of the engineer is on their website.

    Hey mate,

Very happy with them. The only thing I would consider, although it suits my disco with the wide flares is to bring the nerf bar a bit closer to the sills.

I have 100mm space between the slider and nerf bar and my concern is slipping through the gap and breaking a leg

I will change mine and plate the underside so it cant happen.

    Hey mate,

When I fitted mine I used either 12mm of 1/2" bolts.

I had a similar issue as on outside I have 1/2" thick recovery points and on the inside I have 10mm thick bash plate mounts.

I found the only way to get the XROX mounts to compress against the chassis was to place an extra washer each side between the mount and the other plates.

I also didn't use lock nuts, the ones I have are domed on top and I think they have tapered thread, they are designed to stretch onto the bolt thread from memory.

They are excellent but a pain to remove if you need too.
