Hiclones are the (almost) modern day equivilent of the 100mpg carby...it's powers are mythical only.
Consider the advertised way they "work", then think of all the flow altering items that striaght away alter any flow advantage described? It really isn't rocket science.
Utimately there are only the rules of physics and chemistry at work.
The best value occurs when the air / fuel ratio is optimised and max power is achieved. Over fuelling aids power delivery, but kills economy, under fueling aids economy (to a point) but at the cost of engine performance across the range.
Manufactured tolerances are set for a broad performance range to suit the 85% likely user definition. Chipping is sold to the other 15%.
For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction....

Don't forget the 'blade' bolt on exhaust tip aswell. Better milage and less emissions.
So you'll get all that extra power, better milage and lower emissions. Yee haa and then we can do away with the carbon tax and put the lead back into petrol and sulphur back in diesel. woohoo!!!!!

I will not even discuss the Hiclone BS that you are being told, I take it you are genuine and not taking the mickey
Just google it for more information than you will ever need

But I do have some knowledge about he loom and chipping
Injector looms on a TD5 is a service item just change it and move on
it has nothing to do with chipping
A bit like a timing belt but waaay cheaper.
If the TD5 is in good condition I wouldn't hesitate to chip it just don't overheat either coolant or EGT.
By 2004 it should have steel dowels in the head (but may not) thus preventing one of the bigger issues with the TD5

I've heard about the looms and am also hearing more warnings around regarding chipping. My Disco is a 2004 model which I'm told is best for the chip due to the electronic control of the EGR. Thoughts, opinions? Thanks

The TD5 already has a hiclone.

If you have a look in the bottom of the airbox, it's inside the black tube where the air comes into the box.

How much you want for it?

I spent lot of my savings on some Cheetah sweat already, you just rub it onto the top of the motor to get the best results.
The nice Nigerian salesman said it's what we call " massaging" the motor. He also helped me find some long lost relatives with lots of cash, so after I send my bank details to him to deposit my 16 million, I'll pass them on to you .
