Part number for the mounts is KKB500750

DLS appear to be selling pattern parts for the mounts, and the general consensus is the genuine is the only way to go for this part.

Yep, as Offtrack points out correctly and wisely, do not not use pattern engine mounts. Use genuine LR mounts only.
MR Automotive quoted around $185 each about 6 months ago for me.

I'm just a little confused too.

The number seems to be KKB500750, as said. I asked MR automotive to send me one (yes one) and asked for original. It came in a plastic bag with a Bearmach sticker on it (not the green oval) and the part number KKB500750. It was to replace one that I destroyed by over torquing the nut that holds it to the engine. Going back one step I got 2 from the UK and wrecked one putting it in. They look exactly the same but the ones from the UK had no manufacturer marked but the supplier said they were a direct replacement. Some of the sites have a different part number for original but say it is no longer available so think it is KKB500750 or nothing.

Was quite surprised by what happened. I had to put a great long pipe onto the end of the socket to undo the old one in the first place. When doing it up I was just using a shortish ratchet handle. There was no definite end point on tightening and the bolt was stretching and just snapped. The other side had a clear cut end point on tightening so wonder if it was a dud. Had to put the old one back in and now waiting for the time to install the one from MR. Will use a torque wrench when I do!

So I think that KKB500750 are good enough if you don't get a dud and are what is being used but possibly not landrover original. The vibes even with just one replaced are more than 1/2 better.

John I suggest you check back on the forum archives regarding pattern engine mounts. The problem runs deeper that simply getting a dud.

High levels of vibration resulting from the use of pattern mounts appears to be a very common complaint.

Kkb500750 is the LR part number, which is used by aftermarket sellers to identify the fitment of the part. It doesn't say anything about the origin or quality of the part. Genuine is top tier, oem is next (and may not be identical to a genuine part), pattern is bottom of the heap.

    Cheers
    Paul

Thanks Paul, I have trolled quite a bit in old posts on this one. As said, I asked MR for an original LR mount, they told me they were very aware of the problem with vibration from " Pattern" ones, do not use them and would send me an original. Turns out it is Bearmach. Also as said trolling through the UK LR web parts people there seemed to be an older LR part number but not available. I am left to assume that Bearmach is as good as you can get. Is this not the case? Can you purchase new mounts with a LR stamp on them, in a LR package?

I have not asked an authorised dealer, perhaps that is the way to go but what cost?

    Check this out,

The one with the LR logo, & LR after it, is supposed to be the genuine one, I believe. Bob

    Got onto RAVE, The torque values they quote are;

4 nuts , engine mount bracket to cylinder head block... 48 NM

2 nuts , engine mount to chassis...... 85 NM

I nut , engine mount to engine mount bracket.... 85 NM.
