I haven't been using the aircon so I'm guessing its ingress through either the heater or the firewall gromet. Is there any reason why ingress through the heater would be limited to the passenger side only?

Also any ideas on building a sheild for the heater inlet, or possibly how to rectify the drain from the heater matrix.

    Thanks for your help.

These leaks can be very mysterious !.

I had a wet passenger footwell, and after searching for ages in all the usuall places, ( many of the previously listed ones ), I found a small hole in the panel sealant between the front bulk head and inner wing.

You can see where the water had been coming in.

I sealed this up with some PU sealant, and its been dry since.

    Cheers.

Thanks to everyone who posted advice but I think I have finally fixed it. I found the passenger rear footwell was wet too after the recent rains and hosed the car down after removing the seats and carpets. Found that water was coming in through the rear passenger door because of an incorrect install of the wiring being run on the wrong side of the door frame. Fixed it and siliconed the dust liner.

If anyone else is at their wits end from this problem, get a water bottle and pour it down the door glass divider on the side of ingress. If it comes out of the plastic door trim inside the car as well as the door base drains pull off the trim and replace the seal.
