In a heartbeat, infact 12K in my pocket would have seen me in another (2nd) today.
I stepped up from my TDi to a TD5 only two days ago. After a 6 hour drive home I have never been this much in love with a vehicle since 1981, when I purchased a Falcon XB GT.
My new D2 love it(having ACE helps)
That would be telling since I inspected it for someone today. But alas in Syd.
It's also in the blue I like, 7 seat which I wanted (I got after market seats), 2001, marginal on if it has CDL or not.
I've been thinking of selling mine, it's redundant to my needs.
I have a high k D1 and a D2 with lower k's - 200,000. I love the D2. I cannot see myself getting out of it anytime soon. I have considered getting into a 7 seater for my parent's sake, but that would be the only reason to swap over, and I would be swapping some parts if I did...
Cheers
I had a fair run with the D1 tdi so we upgraded to a td5 which has had its fair share of problems and moments of joy.
Every time something new goes wrong with the D2a I start looking at the classifieds for ...Hiluxes and Landcruisers.
Yesterday the head gasket went at 180,000 so I looked up the classifieds and started looking at...D3 & 4's! It does get in your blood grrr!
For the record, I'll be changing the head gasket and keeping the D2a for a few years yet, have to upgrade the wife's daily first before looking at D3 or D4's. Why would I sell such a capable vehicle for 14k? What could you replace it with for that money? (even if it means taking a week off work to pull the head)
