OK, thanks to the great work by Justin, the D2 HSE turned out (imho) to be a dud for my liking. Had a back up plan in a 04 D2a V8 in the works failing that, and it all checks out ok..so will be picking it up Sat morning..

It's in OK condition with the usual suspects needing attention. Vastly overproced at their original asking ($21,990), at $15K you'd wait it fixed and a solicitor written warranty. I offered for giggles $11K drive away with 12mths rego and a full tank. I just got looked at.

One thing to note also was I found that the dealer has warranty issues listed on Not Good Enough - Australia's Customer Complaints Website :: Home , another flag. That and the fact they have a paintless dent repairer on staff...
