D2 Hitch Lock - Lost Key

    Hi guys,

Virgin poster here so be gentle - I've done all my searches but still scratching my head.

I've recently bought a Pod trailer for camping trips. The trailer sits a bit higher than my lowered hitch so I want to put a new hayman reece block in that doesn't sit so low.

Problem is the block is secured with a lock and I don't have they key (3rd owner and I never got it). I've read a few things about being able to release these (could be wrong) but anyone got any good ideas how to get it off (bar cutting it)?

Appreciate all the great info on here - i'm a nett taker rather than giver but to be fair I know s*** anyways!!!

They were never original, someone has put it in, take it to a locksmith, or hit it with the grinder and buy a new one for probably less money... or just put a pin in it

My Dad had this issue a few years ago. A grinder got it off eventually. They aren't expensive and would be your cheapest option by far. The lock that he had was an ark bought from super cheap auto I believe. Good luck.
