what are your maf numbers at idle?
jc
Hi all,
Today when installing my EGT guage, I started the motor with the bonnet up.
I noticed that it was running quite rough at around 1800 rpm, I could see it vibrating a lot through the gap in the bonnet, seemed to clear at around 2500rpm.
Plugged in the Nanocom and no faults!
Don't notice it when driving, but it does feel a bit flat first thing until warmed up, it has always had a bit of a vibe at idle, needs new engine mounts.
I checked the ECU plug and there was a bit of oil so cleaned that out, refitted and checked again, still there, maybe not so pronounced?.
Took it for a spin and checked again, no where near as bad.
It seems to be worse when cold, is it likely to be the harness?, as I thought they got worse when warm?, and tend to throw a few codes, I will change it anyway when I get chance.
Anbody have any other obvious causes, bar the harness?

The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈
2003 EU3
Cyl balance is fine
Everything seems to be working as it should?
De-cat and EGR
Has this always felt like a 'miss' when cold or hat/ trailing throttle? If so, that isn't unusual for the EU3 software, but if recent then it may require an EGR bypass kit...

Yes it has always felt a bit flat and has slight roughness (miss) when cold and at idle, I only noticed this vibe on the off chance as I had the bonnet open.
Maybe getting a bit paranoid and reading too much into it?
EGR and cat have gone, only did the cat last week so still getting used to it - find it a little bit noisier now, and a bit more fumey.
I am looking at a remap soon, would this solve this issue seeing as everything else checks out and no codes have been recorded?
