I get 15 l per 100k with 31s bullbar, and roof racks and mostly in and out to Brisbane from the burbs, mines a manual. With lpg I get 10l per 100k equivalent to petrol and get better again on the highway but not by a lot. My 02 has been my daily driver since new to 200,000 k. I get 800 or more out of petrol and lpg used together which is handy setting of to Stradbroke Island or fraser island etc. Mine tows a 2 tonn vagabond nicely. Test drive a few samples of both and decide. I did and in 2002 the poverty pack petrol and diesel were the same price...A month later I had a mate who did the same and he bought a new d2a manual v8...Cheers![]()

As to what the CEO says...the CEO says what he can to sell the one that cost the most to develop. The petrol was a motor tried and tested over decades in one form or another with 4 bolt mains and a BMW Bosch HEI bolted on...so very little development cost. The TD5 on the other hand cost a bomb to develop and was brand new in all respects.
