    More info needed -

Have you checked fuel filter, fuel pump operation, fuel pressure etc?

    Mileage done?
Have symtoms appeared gradually or suddenly?
Are you sure your problem is fuel starvation?

The more info you supply, the more likely you'll receive an informed answer and possible solution to yoiur problem.

If it's blowing black smoke it's not suffering fuel starvation.

Delaminating turbo hoses is one possible cause.

Other things worth checking are turbo hoses and, I think it's called the turbo boost regulator, which I think is only on Disco Td5's and not Defenders.
