    D2 auto mode button

Has anyone tried to do this?

The mode button on the trans shifter, if selected in High range will give you sports mode,
The button selected in low range will give you manual mode, so you have to select your gear and it will stay in that gear.

Wonder what would be involved, to get it to work manually in high range
Dont know if its controlled by the ECU or does it flick a switch when changing high to low stick??

Manual mode is part of the low range auto programming. You can't select it without the TC being in low. You could trick the Auto ECU into behaving as if it is in low, while hi is selected, but you'd get all the other low range behaviours like altered shift points, and no lock-up in 3rd or 4th.

    cheers
