    Steering geometry pre-02MY vs post-02MY

I just wish it didn't take 18 lanes to do a u-turn with my d2a.

Worst turning circle of any car ever.

This is true, but it's also probably the reason my 255/85R16 tires don't rub the radius arms.

It's worse on the 18" equipped vehicles. The 16" wheeled d2's used a shorter steering lock stop. There is a Tech Bulletin related to the longer stops affecting 18" wheel vehicles. The bulletin covers the method of determining the minimum stop length to fit to improve turning circle but avoid the tyre fouling on the body/chassis.

Tech bulletin is posted on this page:

You can adjust the steering stops. Later D2s were set up with stops adjusted to suit the widr 18" wheels. If you have 16" heel, then you can adju them in.

Got 18"a on (HSE) but might look at swapping to 16"s if it makes a big difference.

You have not driven a Mitsubishi Pajero or Triton of the same vintage then?
