Temp gauge light on, needle low
Hi all,
First post in a while as the d2 has been going well as of late. My current issue is a small one I believe (and hope). It's regarding the temp gauge as the overheat light is on and the needle all the way down. I have read this to be caused by the engine coolant temp gauge not to be receiving any input. So I assumed its an issue to do with the wires underneath the dash coming through the firewall as I installed my inverter today and perhaps knocked them loose but I didn't find any loose connections. An interesting fact is that the nanocom continues to give me the coolant temp; I guess this rules out the temp sensor. Checked the fuse so any idea of where to start will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Cables behind the dash perhaps?

Nanocom takes temp from ECU. Plenty of coolant? Light + hot, no temp + no water.

UPDATE
It was a cable but not a loose connection; it was right at the firewall and about 8 wires had chaffed through or something. All good now and auto elec said it could've been much worse and possibly killed the Ecu if they touched each other.
