Just wondering if it is a normal operation for the ambient temperature of the trans inside the car to get warm? If the air con is not running in mine, it gets very hot around the trim over the trans. No lights come on or anything. I know some get warm. but it seems to get really warm, like if you have anything sitting on there or in the centre console it gets hot (lollies/choccy melts) phones get to high temps. seems to perform as normal. doesnt happen if air con in on in the car, somehow the coolness keeps the trim cold?
im thinking time to change the trans fluid. It looked a little more brownish than red when i checked levels a while ago when hunting for oil leaks. Or am i just being paranoid and its perfectly normal for it to get warm like this? LOL
