Unhappy Another D2 cruise control thread

    Hello!

I've searched heaps and read the RAVE manual 50 times, and I know that my issue was the vacuum lines, since there wasn't one.

But I'm having some problems, from what I read there should be a switch with a line from the brake pedal the the firewall... I only have this one switch that doesn't appear to have a tip to connect vacuum hose to at all? Are D2's using electric switch instead? Pic:

Also where does it go through the firewall? All I see the the accelerator cable coming through the wall and to the intake, I don't see anywhere on the firewall for the hose to come through..

Finally - There was a piece of vacuum hose dangling from the bottom of the pump... Does this loop back up and connect to the top side of the pump? (RAVE 19.75.05 item 3) OR is item 3 where the brake pedal is supposed to go?
I've looped it as you can see in the blue hose of this pic.. I think thats wrong though.

I am 100% sure they are electrical, and I think there might be a Cruise ECU???
That blue hose connects at the bottom of the pump as you have, there shoulds be a piece with 2 nipples, one is for getting out side air into the pump, its the bottom nipple, the side nipple is what looks like the bottom of youre blue hose, then it loops back onto a nipple at the back of the actuator. It's a pita to get too but it connects there, just hard to get fingers in. Mine has come off at the rear and I can't get my fingers in there, so mine don't work at the moment.
    cheers, Mario
ps did a search, some one fixed theirs by replacing a faulty brake switch. And have you pressed the button with 2 lines with the bridge going over it, this is the master switch to turn on cruise control. it's on the switch panel around the speedo housing with you other buttons?

Thanks for the reply.. I think my vacuum hoses are correct, is the bottom nipple the black one or the larger white one?
I guess it's an electrical problem now unless the pump has died, I might check fuses and ECU test, then maybe pull the pump out and have a look

    V8 or Td5?
IIRC the V8 has the cruise control ECU under the DS kick panel.
Td5 CC runs off the engine ECU
Have a read of this thread maybe?
