    towing and new shocks

I have stock springs ane coilrites. My dobinson shocks have done bout 85k and are a little sad. I probably should have stiffer springs but the bags make up for that when towing the near 2 tonn vagabond. Trouble is I dont want to go a lift cause of car park height issues with 31 in tyres and cross bars on the roof. How are EFS shocks for this application? ? It is getting a bit sad towing at the moment.

    Cheers

There are a lot better than efs on the market. Bilstien or koni would be my pick.

True but with price tag to match...at a guess a full set of efs with 2 year 80k warranty would cost one koni or billi? I dont mind paying a bit more but wondering if th shocks n thst price range are worth it?

yes, the Billies or koni's are worth the money, really they are. The life from a set is only a pipe dream with other brands

If you have the part numbers you can get bilstiens from the USA fairly cheaply. I got a set delivered to my front door for a gq patrol for $375 .

    Have a look at www.truckspring.com
I bought mine from there comparatively cheap compared with Aussie prices.

Put it this way, the Koni's on the Patrol have done well in excess of 320,00km and are still OK.

They won't be as new, but if you bounce either front or back it comes back to rest very slowly (the rears are on maximum adjustment now)
We just dragged about 500kg back from the NSW north coast on the tray, and it included a fridge and there was no excess roll, wobbles, bounces or skips on less than perfect roads.
