What is it?
Sorry no pic yet but I will give a description and someone may know
Underneath the rear of a V8 D2. I was mucking around fitting some new flares and modifying the rear mudflats when I noticed the heat guard above the rear muffler was rusted and falling off. I pulled it out and there is a very large rubber grommet in the floor. It would be in the location of the left rear cubby box.
My guess is it may be a pressure release point for if the airbags go off but I wanted to be sure. If possible I will use it as an entry point for a cable running to a 2nd battery.

Big Grommet LHR D2a
Mr Walker
if it's the one i'm thinking it is there for the rear air conditioner pipes to come back up through the floor .
mine has this air cond in about the same place and the pipes come up through the grommet.
cheers
Paul

Yes, that will be it, thanks Paul. It means I can use it to run all my cables through.

Glad I seen this. I am about to run some power to the back corner. And wasn't looking forward to putting it under the trim.
