Conversation usually goes something like " g'day mate, I'm after a 2" lift for me car....." and the answer is usually like "yeah mate, I can help you there, these springs will get you about x height depending on xxxx"..... So even though it's not a "2 inch lift", it's sorta generally all grouped together as such.....let's face it we don't ring up and say we want a 30mm lift do we? Most of us aren't that explicit.....not unless there is a specific reason for being so.....
But regardless of what brand "2inch lift"

was purchased in this case, the addition of 30mm spacers on top means he should have somewhat more than 515mm at the htg measurement.
My kings are only about a 25-30 at best, (the bar didnt drop the car much at all) then plus the spacer at 30, thats 55-60mm. Add that to the factory spec at minimum height of 485mm (the -15mm from 500), and that's 540mm.....so something is amiss at 515.....unless his raised springs were infact standard height in the first place?...not meant to carry extra weight like bar etc?
I agree with Kev that the term 2" lift has become a generic term. Most people know it will vary between loads and brands. It is usually specified the amount of lift from the supplier when you purchase.
As for the other heights I quoted on my car I got a bit mixed up between cars. I checked again today. My OME HD springs had sagged to around 520mm so I added 30mm spaces to restor the height to the same as the rear. I had to fit the D1 top plates as the D2 ones had a big rubber centre stopping the spacers seating. This took about 5mm off the height as the D1's are thinner. So the final figure is around 540+mm. Does this make you feel better.
Cheers, David.
