I may not always be the case, ask your self this
WHAT IS SAFARI SELLING THE SNORKELS FOR TO THE UK and WHAT ARE THEY SELLING THEM WHOLE SALE TO THE AUSSIE DISTRIBUTERS? If Safari are selling them cheaper to the overseas market then that could explain. Don't always blame sellers in Aus without knowing all the facts.

If it was an even playing field and UK and Aus were paying the same wholesale price then you could start screaming.

Would it be safe to say the UK sellers have to pay to import them.as well..? but can still sell them cheaper .!!.
Im interested in the Chinese copy for that price ..polyethylene is polyethylene unless its polypropylene . I guess it all depends on their skills at moulding .

I'm in the market for one too.

What's the best price found delivered for the genuine article here in Oz?

Ive been pretty keen on on of the cheaper ones like this Full Boar Premium Snorkel KIT 4x4 Land Rover Discovery Series 2 TD5 AND V8 4WD | eBay

I just want to know how much they differ from the Safari Snorkels. Are they the same size, do they flow the same, are they the same difficulty/easy to fit?

    Happy Days.

You won't when it's starts to fall apart from the inside, and go through your engine, or crack and fall apart after 2 years on the outside. I've seen both and it's not pretty, and it doesn't work out to be a cheap snorkel then.

What? Are you a Safari Dealer? How did it go through the engine? Was there no air filter in the air box?

Sorry if I have misunderstood your comment but it seems very silly to me.

Again, You can buy 3 for the price of one Australian sold Safari Snorkel. That's 6 years worth of snorkels.

Newlandy owner, consider the Mantec snorkel, designed for the D2, I have fitted one myself, not only does the job well, but looks the goods. Powdercoated steel, low profile. I bought mine off the Paddocks UK site. Bob

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Sorry if I sounded a bit abrupt in my last 2 posts that were directed at you but I am offended by your comment suggesting that should the snorkel start to break down that it could go through your engine. As the snorkel does nothing but feed air to the airbox where the air filter sits, I can't see that being possible. I was offended because I took it that you think I am stupid and would not know that. I have red some of your previous posts. Can you tell us your affiliation with UV4x4, ARB store?

I am not against Safari Snorkels and I am still considering the possiblity of purchasing one but I'm giving the cheaper copies plenty of chance to prove they are equally as good before I do so. If I find they are as good then I will purchase a cheaper snorkel instead of the Safari.

If anyone is interested in the Mantec. Last time I spoke with CLR in Sydney, he had one on the shelf for a reasonable price. I considered it but I prefer the forward facing air scoop.

I mainly looked at the Safari because of the harsh summers here in WA. Plus they are on all the work utes and they still look/are ok.
