    Yep, mine's an SE.
I had a look at the trim level guide for the pre-facelift ones and with the pre-facelift SEs, they had three or four features in common that put them above the S, but everything else was optional, like sunroofs, upgraded audio, etc.
At least that was my understanding of it.
The ES is a higher spec than SE, SE was billeted as the mid-range variant, ES and HSE were the top of the range ones, at least pre-facelift.
Theoretically you could have an S model with all the options put in, my dad's S had a genuine LR sunroof in it, so the only real way to tell is by looking at the badges on it or checking with LR

Wrong. I have an 03 HSE. No heated seats. Also missed on the above list, Power folding mirrors.

And from what I have read the wiring loom should be all in place with the plugs for the switches.

My 96 Tdi has heated seats. You reckon I wasn't a tad ****ed off when my 03 HSE didn't

As for the mirrors, it did take a bit to get the hang of them.

My book says 20,000 Km. Then if your vehicle falls into severe use category it is 5,000 for oil and air filter, 10,000 for fuel filter
