    Discovery Water tank

After trying to find some one who does water tanks for these cars I gave up and have started my own, My Fathers previous D1 had one fitted by tjm but they no longer can get hold of them.
Does anyone here have tanks under their discos, im still deciding how to mount it in a way that's lets the tanks move without cracking ect any advice
also how I should fill them

I ended up chucking a 75L flexitank in the rear passenger footwell.
Not the most elegant solution but it gets the job done.

There's a good thread started by mutleyrcp on 15/2/2009 (sorry, don't know how to link) which discusses various options and costs.

In that thread I posted picture and description of a water bladder which I had mounted into a box, and which fitted on floor behind front seats. I was unhappy with this water tank and designed 45L plastic water tank which fitted (ie wedged) behind passenger front seat, and which was made by Wrengco tanks. Pictures, description and design sketch can be seen in my thread on 10/10/2010.

Very happy with my Wrengco tank.

I'm poaching someone's photo here without taking the time to go back to the "Show us your D2" thread. Apologies.

But is that outlet down on the driver's side rear panel the inlet for a water tank? It seems an odd place for a power outlet. I'm guessing it could also be the filler for LPG but would seem crazy to put it so low down. I know nothing about LPG into LR V8's anyway.

So if anyone sees the photo and knows what it is please update the thread.

It is a water tank, there are two options, one for water (stainless steel) and another for fuel.

Running the filler out the rear guard is a good idea and have one each side then I don't have to go through the floor.

That looks more like a LPG Filler. Installed by someone to lazy to put it in with the petrol filler.
