TJM Bull Bar and Recovery Points

I currently have a TJM winch compatible bull bar with 2 front recovery points. I now intend to fit a winch cradle and winch bit I can't see how I can keep the recovery points once I fit the winch cradle. Does anyone have experience of this problem and how to overcome it?

I didn't think a TJM bar had any recovery points? Mine didn't, which caused a bit of grief between the installer and I at the time. Mind posting a photo of what you have currently?

I ended up making up some points similar to the ARB style units.

    Cheers,

TJM Bull bar and recovery points

Sorry, I haven't made myself clear on this. My bull bar like yours does not have recovery points. I have fitted aftermarket ones very similar to what is in the photo in Chris's post. The problem now is that to fit the winch cradle I will have to remove them. I have used them a few times to great effect and would not want to loose the option for recovering or being recovered using them.

Put them on outside of chassis rails. I have done exactly that with mine. Needed to get longer bolts though.

Thanks for the advice. I will give it a go with larger bolts. They are going to be pretty large to go through the winch cradle, the chassis and then the recovery point. Do you know if the bolts should be High Tension?

Get high tensile 12.9 grade bolts and new nylock nuts as well.
