Then you've got the issues with old vs newer generation parts. A GT22 turbine has a 42.7mm exducer and flows better than a GT25 turbine which has a 41.7mm exducer etc. The GT22 is also a newer and more efficient design which produces the same power for less drive pressure.

so wich vnt turbo are you suggesting for a td5? wich is the easyest to adapte?
    thank you

So which turbo suits best to a td5 .... The 2052v, 2256v or the 2056v?

Now that I've put a lot of time and effort to find out that my answer is....None

Adapting vnt turbo to the td5 is tricky in the same way ( as Dougal said) those numbers are tricky... I bet a 1756VK turbo has better overall performance than that 2256v you named So, the numbers say little or nothing and also, they are different from brand to brand... a 2256 from a VW its different from an iveco, and from an Alfa, etc etc...

During the research for our vnt's the conclusions I got were:

    - The work/changes in the Turbo internals and mainly in exausth turbine, and the compressor, its very important in order to make it work and have good torque down low.

    - Wastegate actuator specs its very important to have best performance and control over the VNT opening vs pressure.

    - Using a converted turbo with the wastegate actuator in the oposite side of the stock position its big mistake...hard to setup and specially easy to get dirty and get VNT blocked...

    This is ours...by the way:

    Cheers,
