    any source for "pollen" filter?

I recently obtained a plenum chamber cover for my 2002 that was actually in less than 100 pieces, in fact it is in one piece. HURRAH!

This prompted me to get a new pollen filter, although looking at it , it is more a small rock and mouse filter.

After paying $34 for it, and seeing that fish tank filters which sell for $5 seem to be the same stuff, I wonder if anyone has a good source for the coarse filter stuff . It is on ebay everywhere but only in small squares to fit a fish tank.

Anyone know where you could get say a metre square as I could also use it for my Honda Jazz which has a pleated filter about 200x160mm.

I have googled and ebayed for hours on this which is probably more time than it is worth.

Hi, search for "low desnity soft foam sheet" , or find something similar Upholstery foam Sheets. Select grade & size & depth. High, Medium & low density | eBay closer to you, the original plenum foam is iirc 30mm thick so 1" depht on that site would be good enough , or contact these guys Online Foam Price Calculator, 25 Different Grades of Foam

EDIT: just saw the above one, that seems the good choice

Seeing I was down at the car I measured the size of the material.
It is 30MM X10MM so only 10MM thick.
Thanks for the responses I will have a look.

    Clark Rubber.
It's simply called filter foam. Cheap as chips.

p38arover has bought the Clark Rubber stuff &, IIRC, it didn't last much longer than the original LR part. I would assume it's all the same stuff though but my cheapy eBay foam is still going strong after 18mths.

I bought some filter foam from Clark Rubber and it has well and truly outlasted the original. It has been on the car for several years.

It must have just been Ron's propensity for buying faulty goods .
