It's the one cent on the end that drives them crazy.

Assuming that they do fall apart as there was little pieces of dust under the clips, I have bought as an experiment a large pieces of 20MM thick fishtank filter stuff from ebay for about $6.
I will ave a look and se how it goes.
BTW doubt that the price is under $29 +postage now , as I looked at both UK and OZ and none were under $30 including freight. I paid $34.50 from a new guy in Adelaide for genuine as it was cheaper than LR Direct and others.

I just went to local air conditioner installer and supplier and asked what they had, got a scrap of commercial A/C filter material for $5, enough for about 6 replacements. They also said it won't deteriorate like the original foam stuff.

I went to a company called star products in Malaga WA and bought a foam fuel cell for $11.00 and cut what I needed , that was over 2 years ago and all still good.
Go to their website and then go cart fuel cell
    They are also on eBay
