Just dropped the oil filings everywhere oil even has sparkles in it put new oil no better gonna have to drop the box :/ what sorta cost will the inlut bearing cost me? Will look up how to drop gearbox?
Anybody done this before? Ghanks for the hdlp so far

Ok turns out was front prop shaft was binding up so its removed is it safe to drive temporarily? Is there a way to rebuild it! I dont have 950 for a heavy duty one

I suspect my front driveshaft is on the tail end of it's life.
I'm getting a s/h one for a D1 for about $50. I can't imagine a D2 one would be much more. I'll then be getting the original one refurbished so I can swap them again at a later date.
I think it would be ok to drive around with the front driveshaft removed and the CDL locked. I did that for a while in my thing.

I have locked cdl have been quoted $250 for 2nd hand one, 750 new or 850 h/d gonna go 2nd hand and hope for the best really just to get it going again the old one is very noise when down shifting and when removed u can feel it binding

Take it to Hardy Spicer and get it fully rebuilt for about the same money. Better still buy all the unis and centre bearing from them and do it yourself...

I hope you removed front shaft before driving around with a locked centre diff
