I had the same problem...started with no water divers side, then it swapped sides??? Let us know how you go
Alex
Howdy folks.
For the past month (more actually), I've been trying to work out what's wrong with my windscreen wipers.
I replaced all the hoses and connecters from the L join on the bonnet insulation peg, as well as both the washers.
I've checked all the hoses, none of them are blocked, I've removed and cleaned out the filter and washer bottle.
Still no dice.
So here's the thing.
From the L connecter, there's a hose, a non return valve, and a T piece.
From the T piece are the connections to the washers, with the passenger side going straight from the T piece to the washer with a curved hose, and the drivers side being fed from another hose with a non return valve and a curve hose.
So, If I remove the washers, curved hoses and the second non return valve, I get water.
If I put the non return valve and the curved bits in, I get water to the passenger side and a dribble from the drivers side. I've swapped the non return valves with known good ones, I've tried them both ways (to make sure I hadn't made a stupid mistake).
For the life of me I can't work out why a brand new system from Land Rover assembled as per RAVE won't work, especially for something as simple as the windscreen washers!
Any advice would be appreciated.
Cheers

Going mental? As anything?I think you will find there is a tiny piece of muck, algae springs to mind, in the nozzle. Take it off and soak in a cleaner. What is happening is it wanders around and blocks momentarily but gradually becomes more frequent until the nozzle blocks up! I had the same with the deefer, on ,off, now it works, whoops now it dont
the now it dont bit all ways after that mudhole on the road, driving into the setting sun!

That is my take on it anyway. A mild bleach solution worked on mine overnight.
Cheers Scott
heres what you need to do,
get on the bonnet on a very cold day (just about any day in Orange) and look directly into the squirter nozzle, get somone else to press the washer knob
guaranteed to work
That would be my first thought, except the washers are brand new and the water in the system was fully flushed.
FWIW I've pulled them off again and tried letting them soak.
And yes, Mental as Anything![]()
Oh, the washers are brand new! That puts a whole different light on it. so in summery, washer pumps work/run? new system from bottle to and including nozzles? water as far as T piece? water as far as nozzles? water not exiting nozzles? Dodgy nozzles(even though they are new)?
Got me
Cheers Scott
I like Don's idea![]()
Scott, Pump works, new fittings and hoses from L piece to washers.
I replaced from the L piece onwards because they were so brittle they'd perish/break as I removed them.
I can get water all the way up to the second non return valve, but regardless of what NRV I put in it doesn't change, which is what has me confused.
So if you take the feed hoses off at the nozzles do they spray water out? If so, then put them back on and use a small pin to ram in and out of the nozzle until they spray cleanly, then use them loads and loads, with metho (diluted) in the bottle to flush the system.
Cheers
Will
I can get water to the nozzles, I'm thinking they might be a bit blocked but I've done the poking with a pin thing. Passenger side is okay, very weak flow on the drivers side, which is the more important one. Problem is getting water past the 2nd non return valve.
I'll put a bit of metho in and see how they go, could just be crap in the NRV.
