I suspected that is what you were basing the advice on. I am not having a go at you. It wouldnt be the first time part number was noted as fitting both vehicles but was wrong. When the ladder came of my D1 and sat on my D2 door the bottom mount was in the middle of the plastic box that holds the handle for the door and numberplate light. I am giving you my experience from actually doing it not from a part number.

    Cheers

OK I measured it - the D1 is 830mm to the bottom of the handle and the D2 is 850mm. So if the part number is now the same it means that anyone with a D1 is meant to fit a longer ladder to their D1 - which wouldnt look as good as the original (D1 part so keep that in mind. Also keep in mind, as I said, that if you get a (genuine and original) D1 ladder at the right price of ebay or at a wrecker etc it will need lengthening by about 20mm.

    Cheers

    Powder coating is crap though.

Mine's slowly peeling its' way down the ladder.

They are also very useful for drying towels etc on when camping and beaching.

Install is about 20 minutes with a drill.

I think I have stood on mine about five times in five years but as said above, good for opening and closing door and many other uses as well as looking great. Very expedition.

    I.

Yes they really add that Camel or g4 edge. My d1 LR brush bar and light guards from nes peeled the powder coat but the ladder has bee great. Crazy stuff.

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Next time you have your D1 next to my D2 we'll have to look to see how the ladders fit around the handle.
Being as you bought them together

I use mine on every camping trip and so far no problems
Only thing is to try not to use it to lever yourself up on to the bumper.
I've noticed the top of the door flexing out slightly as I pull out rather than climb.
Then again, the doctor says I should loose weight
    Cheers, Kyle
