Thanks for the advice guys
I am looking at 2 sets of rims 18's close to home and matching 16's the same as mine located in Melbourne. My next question is do I need to modify the spare wheel carrier if I go to 18's with 255/60/18
cheers Keith

Hey Keith, Yes from personal experience, 255/60/18's will rub on your bumper and make it a pain to close the door
A quick flip of the spare bracket and cut for the rear wiper will fix.
The tutorial is here www.discovery2.co.uk/ Spare wheel carrier mod / flip*
Pics of when I did mine here: http://www.aulro.com/afvb/members-ri...-disco2-2.html
Pretty easy job.

Thanks for the heads up on this one just another question how did you find the scorpions they are one of the options I am looking at either 16 or 18
cheers Keith
HI Keith,
On road they are brilliant, quiet, good cornering, good in the wet. Gravel/dirt roads they are also really good, they feel secure in cornering and braking. I haven't been off road with them yet so I can't comment on that.
Basically I think that they suit what I wanted them for, Mainly highway and dirt roads and hopefully I will not get stuck on my occasional off road trip.
The only problem I have noticed is that they are a little bit inclined to trap stones in the tread instead of throwing them out like a more aggressive tread pattern will. The price of quiet on road behaviour I guess.

Thanks Bernie
they seem to be a good option for my usage I spend time on highways and dirt roads with the occasional fire trail
