Thats amazing, I'm hoping to really improve fuel consumption by doing the EGR. I have been averaging anywhere b/w 12-15l/100k's. its the only thing I think left to do!

I'd already purchased a de-egr kit before I even bought the D2 and the EGR gear went in the bin within a couple of weekends of picking the car up. I wouldn't even have a clue what clamps and fixings are used.

Yeah that bolt is a bit tricky, I had to keep the clamp around the hose as close together until the bolt had a fair few turns through it, was okay after that.
Looking at yours, mine was pretty good really, perhaps my mechanic cleaned it when he pulled the intercooler?

Thats about ballpark for my fuel consumption. Mind you I have bigger tyres, roof rack, bull bar, drawers, extra battery and an awning. Fuel figures have risen from 12 to 14 post mods though. On the drive back from Sydney to Melb when i first bought it I was getting 10ltr / 100kms pre mods.

I did a country run over the weekend and im back to 12 ltrs/100kms. The real test will be the next fill as it will include the trips to work during a normal week. Signs are promising though.

That's about double what it should be. Might be worth looking at?

some time ago I blanked off the egr, recently cleaned the sensors and maf and my last refuel gave me 7.8ltrs/100km. I drive the M1 here a lot at 110km+ and grumbles just cruising with 15psi on the turbo.
