Thanks for that, I'll be watching with interest, the video on the ball joint replacements, I have the same problem Bob
Hi All,
After selling my 03 D2A TD5 a few years back I've come to the conclusion that I miss it. I was thinking about getting therapy but before I could get professional help I picked up another D2. You would have thought I'd have learned my lesson.
This one is another 03 model but a V8 on gas. It's in pretty good condition but it has a few issues.
This should be an interesting experience living with a D2 again.
I've got a YouTube channel that I post a few things on with my other interests. I thought I'd try posting up a series of vids on the repairs and mods I do on this Disco in the effort to possibly help others keep theirs on the road.
Here's the first one

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food
A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking
welcome back to the "fold" so to speak.
Will be interested in your videos as well.
Just one question.... only swearing and skinned knuckles? no throwing things across the workshop.... or is that just me??
Cheers
Matt
Looking forward to the videos! I took my car + some ball joints to Pedders and they charged me $500 for the job including a post-job wheel alignment. I am looking forward to your video on the transmission service since I also have that on the agenda.
Are we talking ball joints or tie rod ends. Because if it's ball joints then I can't wait for the video .I've got 2 D2's to do!!"![]()
Yes, I'm going to do the ball joints, not the tie rod ends. (I wish it was the tie rod ends instead).
Here's the next episode: replacing the rear brakes.

Michael,
Have a good look at the picture of your D2, on the front guard directly under the side indicator is a Decal, yours is the "S" model.
Land Rover used these decals to I. D models.
the "S" decal stands for skinned knuckles.
Thanks for taking the time to put up some youtube clips on repairs.
cheers, Mario
I'm looking forward to the videoes being a mug with a tool... :-)
Subcribed to the channel too.
