    Broken C pillar trim mount.

    Howdy folks.
Cleaning the D2 yesterday, noticed the drivers side trim on the C pillar has broken the lower mount.
    See the pics.
Has anyone else had anything similar?
I can't quite work out how to remove the pillar, at least without breaking the other mount, and I don't have my copy of RAVE handy.
    Cheers

    hi

sadly you need to remove the inner cover (upper panel) to remove i think from memory 3 screws that hold that trim in place, silly set up for something small like that to have to remove the inner trim. have thought of drilling some holes in the trim to avoid removing the entire trim in future which can be a pain if you have a cargo barrier etc. good luck

How do you remove the interior piece? I've got all the clip/screws out, but it's still being reluctant? Do you need to remove the piece that goes across the top of the rear door? If so, how?

If it won't move, force it.
If it breaks, it needed replacing.
If it doesn't break, there's nothing wrong with it

It's not broken too badly, I'll have a crack at repairing it tonight and if not I'll grab one off Outback.

I broke the top passenger side on mine. Managed to open it enough to add some super glue to it, then taped it down until it set.

Did you notice an increase in wind noise while it was broken?

To be honest I only noticed it when I was washing it the other day, and I've only driven it from the lawn to the carport
It's been yonks since I drove it last until recently so it's hard to say. Glue is setting as we speak so I'll see how it looks in the morning.
