    Cheers Gentlemen.

I'm pretty sure its not the rotary coupling as I have had a squizz at this..

Admittedly didn't take it apart but did have a gander at it.

I have also had the console off and I KNEW I recognized those wires at the time but did not touch.

Maybe I will have to take it apart again.

schuy1: when you say KAPOOF I assume you mean that the airbag will go off because with the multimeter you are making the circuit complete?

Could I test it with the battery disconnected?

    Cheers

I have tested the steering wheel coupling using an ohm meter BUT I removed the air bag first then made up something to plug into the air bag plug to complete circuit.

also unplugged wires going to steering column then tested while turning wheel mine tested ok I have had the light on for awhile now, do they have pretensioners in the seat belts?

will need to take it in to get codes read at some stage.
