Thread: Change over motor for the TD5 99

Have you looked into buying a complete vehicle just for the motor???
Selling the rest of the parts will pay for the stuff you need.

Muppet, you mentioned oversize engine rebuild.

Is their a big bore rebuild available?

Just wondering what capacity the td5 could go out to.....

With the price of used discos dropping rapidly, the cost of a full rebuild doesn't make economic sense.

For the age of the car this is relatively low ks and a diesel engine should be good for at least 500000 i would think

Yeah wish they did last 500,000kms, mine was shot at around 292,000Kms
