first thing you'll have to do is to go with tester in the immobiliser menu and prompt "learn security code" otherwise the ECU will be immobilised after the first attempt...then set the injector codes

about the ECU number, yours being 2001 which was a transition year from EU2(10P) to EU3(15P, 16P) engines it depends, cos the MSB101192 is dedicated for EU2 10P engine and if yours is 15P it will not run the best with that ECU cos it has a different fuel map and the injectors are working at different pressure, if yours is EU2-10P engine then it's a perfect match...for your's the 100% perfect match would be MSB101340/350 though

fuel pump was replaced by time i got replacement ecu, it did not help (the pump)

With the replacement ecu I programmed the injector codes successfully but the tool i was using did not have any options for the immobiliser and thus i believe why it would not start.

now i trying to see what i can do about getting a nanocom/hawkeye to it

about the engine type, thanks for that info i will look into it.

btw i believe i have "EU2 10P" as the egr i pulled off it has no heat exchanger. but i will check the engine numbers next time i have a chance as its at the mechanic still while i find a tool.

well it looks like it was the ecu, as i got home 40km last night when previously couldnt drive over 2k rpm

big thanks to a couple of fellow forum members and the nanocom map thread

"Learn Security Code" was what was needed in the Td5 Engine section .
